Made-to-order uniforms for organisations
The entry problem
You buy for the average, and everyone has to wear it.
The people outside the curve wear the nearest size
Made for each wearer
A size range is chosen for the middle of the workforce. Everyone outside it wears something that does not fit for the life of the contract.
You pay for people you have not hired yet
No bulk purchase ahead
A program is bought in bulk against a guess at headcount and sizes, months ahead. The sizes nobody needed are stored, reordered and eventually written off.
Your people are your brand in person
On brand, in person
Most uniforms come out of a catalogue, so your people end up dressed like every other company's. The most visible part of your brand says nothing about it.
The correction
Measure first, then make it.

Made for each wearer
Nobody wears the nearest size.
Digital measurement profiles, digital pattern systems and 3D development workflows support made-to-measure fit where applicable.
Measurements are recorded once and held, so where an order is made to measure, the garment is made to that person’s measurements rather than the closest size on a chart. Standard sizing uses the approved size specification.

No bulk purchase ahead
Made for people who already work here.
Garments are made for someone who exists. There is no size curve to guess at, and far less sits in a storeroom waiting for someone who never starts.
Far less warehousing, size ranging and capital tied up in uniforms. The program runs as a service rather than as inventory on your balance sheet.

On brand, in person
Stand out where most companies never look.
Most companies never think of the uniform as part of the brand. DAKUTX works with organisations to configure private uniform and merchandise programs, including product, ordering and repeat-program infrastructure. The design can be developed with Daniel Avakian and the studio.
Each program is made to one confirmed specification. Your people look like your company, and like nobody else’s.
What this means for you
Outfitting a team,
reinvented.
The usual way
Order a standard run of sizes for the average person.Hold leftover stock for new starters.Reorder and wait when a size runs out.Manage the supplier and the delivery yourself.
The DAKUTX way
Choose styles from the library, or bring your own designs.Your storefront, orders, production and delivery are managed for you.No minimum on eligible products. Each piece is made once it’s ordered, then delivered as agreed for your program.
The end-to-end ecosystem
From concept to the customer's door.
Most uniform programs run through a supplier, a factory, a warehouse and a fulfilment contract. Holding them all together costs you margin, and it takes time away from running the business. Our ecosystem connects design, branding, commerce, production and delivery. Your DAKUTX program brings together the services your business needs. *Categories and materials are subject to approval.

What you also get

New garments in weeks, not months.
Standard production is typically 7–10 business days from final order approval and payment, plus delivery time. Site rollouts run on the same cycle as the original order.

Fit new starters without a bulk order.
Measurements are captured once and held. A new starter can be ordered on the standard production cycle rather than waiting for the next bulk buy.

Replace a garment without a bulk commitment.
Replacements run on the same standard production cycle as the original order, with no minimum to meet.

Made against real orders.
Nothing is made before it is ordered, and each garment is made for a named wearer.Production is driven by demand rather than speculative bulk inventory.Fit-led production designed around the intended wearer and use.

Delivered to each person or site.
Delivered per site or per individual, in your packaging. Staff receive something made for them, not issued from a box.

Designed with you, if you want it.

a good fit?

Take the DAKUTX checkThe offer
A project, an ongoing program, or a scoped rollout.
DAKUTX is a made-to-order platform. You choose the styles and bring your brand. We manage your storefront or ordering workflow, orders, production and delivery.
Enterprise Project
For a defined requirement with an agreed range and delivery plan. Your quote sets out product development, samples, approved quantities, sizing or measurements, branding, production, delivery, approvals and payment milestones.
Enterprise Ongoing
From A$499 per month
For organisations that need a continuing process for new starters, replacement garments or repeat orders. Your proposal defines the available range, authorised orderers, approval process, reporting and support. Garment orders and delivery are priced separately from any monthly platform membership. Your proposal itemises every charge, and the total depends on your scope.
Enterprise Bespoke
For multiple locations, integrations, custom approvals, complex user permissions or a separately scoped rollout. DAKUTX assesses feasibility and provides a written implementation and commercial proposal. Integrations, service levels and custom development are included only when expressly specified in the signed scope.
Before you ask
Are you a manufacturer?
DAKUTX is a made-to-order platform. You choose the styles and bring your brand, and we manage your storefront, orders, production and delivery. We don't own the factories. Production comes as part of a program, and we don't offer it on its own.
Do I have to hold stock?
No. You do not buy or hold stock for the agreed range. Production starts when a customer's order is accepted. Samples and development are made first and are charged separately.
What it costs
Per unit, made to measure usually costs more than a bulk order. Individual orders still carry garment and delivery costs. Against that, there is no bulk inventory purchase up front and no size range to write off. Your proposal states the charges before you commit.
Whose fabric
Bring your own cloth or use ours, and match an existing specification if you have one.
Where it is made
Production is undertaken through DAKUTX’s approved manufacturing network, with core production currently based in China.
Who makes it
DAKUTX works with approved production partners selected for relevant manufacturing capability and quality requirements.
How orders are recorded
Each garment is ordered against a named wearer and one confirmed specification.
If it is wrong
If a garment is produced incorrectly or materially outside the confirmed order specifications, DAKUTX will work to correct the issue, including remake where appropriate. Issues arising from incorrect measurements supplied, subsequent measurement changes or preference changes may incur additional charges. Nothing in this policy limits rights available under applicable consumer law.
The DAKUTX process
Six steps, start to doorstep.
01
Start with the diagnostic
Headcount, sites, roles and the standard you need to hold. We work out whether this fits your procurement before anything else.
02
Read the proposal
You get the scope in writing. It sets out the range, what is included, what is charged separately and who does each step.
03
Sign it
Onboarding starts once the agreement is signed and the setup payment has cleared. Nothing begins before that.
04
Specify and sample
One specification, sampled and signed off before anything is made at volume.
05
Measure the workforce
Measurements captured once and held digitally, so refits and new starters do not restart the process.
06
Make and replenish
Made to order, delivered per site, replenished on the same cycle without a new bulk buy.
How it started
Our story.
DAKUTX is founded and led by Daniel Avakian, one of Australia’s leading fashion designers. He trained in Florence, worked in London under Alexander McQueen and Giles Deacon, and has run his own label out of Sydney since 2007.
Two decades of running that label hit the same wall every season, and the wall was the minimum order. So he spent several years building the production system underneath it.
Daniel and his team of pattern engineers and production managers work with DAKUTX’s approved production partners. Brand and marketing people work alongside the clients who want that.
Design is part of it if you want it. We can work to a specification you already have, or design the program with you from the role up.
Start with the diagnostic.
A short diagnostic first, to work out what you need. That could be a full uniform program or one role, fitted properly.
