Returns & Exchanges Policy

1. Our policy:
We aim to ensure that every product supplied through our storefront meets its advertised description, agreed specifications and applicable quality standards.
This Returns & Exchanges Policy applies to all purchases made through this storefront, including standard-size, made-to-order and customised products. It explains our commercial returns arrangements and the rights available to customers under applicable consumer protection laws. Your statutory consumer rights always take precedence over any inconsistent provision of this policy.
2. Change-of-mind returns and exchanges:
Except where required by applicable law, we do not offer returns, refunds or exchanges for change of mind. This includes circumstances where a customer changes their preference regarding a product's style, colour, size or other selected specifications, or decides that the product is no longer required.
The policy applies to standard-size, made-to-order, customised and discounted products. We may, at our discretion, consider an exceptional request. Any voluntary arrangement, including associated costs or conditions, will be confirmed with the customer before proceeding. This provision does not limit any right to a remedy for a faulty, incorrectly described or otherwise non-compliant product.

3. Made-to-order and customised products:
Certain products are manufactured specifically in response to an individual order. This may include garments produced in standard sizes as well as products made to individual measurements or approved specifications. Customers are responsible for reviewing their order details and providing accurate information before confirming their purchase.
Once an order has been accepted and production has commenced, cancellation for change of mind is not ordinarily available. These commercial arrangements do not affect any statutory right arising from a failure to meet an applicable consumer guarantee, non-supply or other circumstances in which cancellation or another remedy is required by law.
4. Sizing, measurements and fit:
Customers should carefully review all available sizing information, measurements, garment descriptions and relevant specifications before placing an order.
Where a product is manufactured using customer-supplied measurements or approved specifications, those details will form part of the agreed production requirements.
If a product is correctly manufactured in accordance with those requirements but the customer subsequently prefers a different fit or size, a return or exchange will not ordinarily be available. We may offer a discretionary alteration or remake, subject to feasibility, availability and any additional charge agreed before work commences.
Where a product does not meet the agreed specifications or fails an applicable consumer guarantee, the customer retains all relevant statutory rights.
5. Faulty, defective or incorrectly supplied products:
If you believe that a product has a manufacturing defect, is unsafe, has been incorrectly supplied, differs materially from its description or otherwise fails to meet an applicable consumer guarantee, please contact our customer support team.
We will assist in assessing the issue and arranging the remedy required by applicable law.
The nature of the available remedy will depend on the circumstances, including whether the problem constitutes a major or minor failure under the Australian Consumer Law, where applicable.
A product's made-to-order, customised, discounted or final-sale status does not remove any applicable statutory consumer guarantee.
6. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law:
Where the Australian Consumer Law applies, products come with consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded, restricted or modified. These guarantees include applicable requirements relating to acceptable quality, fitness for purpose and conformity with descriptions and samples. For a major failure, the customer may generally choose between a refund and a replacement of the same type, or pursue another available statutory remedy. For a minor failure, the responsible seller may initially offer an appropriate remedy, such as a repair, at no cost to the customer. If the failure cannot be remedied within a reasonable time, the customer may become entitled to other statutory remedies.
Customers may also be entitled to compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss or damage in circumstances provided for by law.
7. How to request a return or exchange:
To submit an enquiry, please contact:
admin@dakutx.com
Include your order number, a description of the issue and relevant photographs where appropriate. You may also identify the remedy you are seeking.
We may request reasonable additional information or arrange an inspection where necessary to assess the claim.
Please contact customer support for return instructions before sending an item back, where reasonably practicable. Failure to contact us before returning a product will not, by itself, invalidate an otherwise legitimate statutory claim.
8. Return shipping and inspection:
Customers may be required to return goods that can reasonably be posted or transported to the responsible seller for assessment.
Where a product is confirmed to have failed an applicable consumer guarantee, reasonable return transport costs will be reimbursed where required by law.
Where collection or alternative arrangements are legally required, they will be organised by the responsible seller. If an assessment establishes that no relevant defect or consumer guarantee failure exists, reasonable inspection or collection charges may apply where permitted by law, provided the customer has received the required advance information about those charges. Customers are not required to retain original product packaging to exercise statutory rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
9. Refunds, replacements and alterations:
Where a refund is required by applicable law, the amount and method of payment will be determined in accordance with the customer's statutory entitlements.
Refunds will ordinarily be issued through the original payment method unless another method is agreed with the customer.
Store credit will not be substituted for a statutory refund without the customer's agreement. Where a replacement or repair is required, the responsible seller will make the appropriate arrangements. Any discretionary alterations, remakes or exchanges that fall outside statutory obligations will be subject to separate agreement.
10. Product care and use:
Customers should follow any applicable product care instructions.
Where a problem results solely from misuse, accidental damage or failure to follow reasonable care instructions, a statutory remedy may not be available for that problem.
This does not affect any statutory entitlement arising from a separate defect or failure to meet an applicable consumer guarantee.
11. Delivery and non-supply:
If an order cannot be fulfilled, is not supplied within a legally required timeframe or is otherwise affected by circumstances giving rise to a statutory remedy, the responsible seller will address the matter in accordance with applicable law. Any restrictions on change-of-mind cancellations do not exclude rights arising from a failure to supply goods or comply with other applicable legal obligations.
12. International orders:
International customers may have mandatory rights and remedies under the consumer protection laws applicable to their purchases.
Nothing in this policy excludes or limits those rights to the extent that such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law.
13. Responsible seller and customer support:
The legal seller responsible for your purchase is the contracting entity identified in your transaction documentation.
DAKUTX provides central customer support and may administer returns, exchanges and related enquiries on behalf of the responsible seller.
Where Danou Pty Ltd, operating DAKUTX, is itself the legal seller, it remains responsible for its applicable statutory obligations.
For assistance, contact admin@dakutx.com and provide your order number.
14. Preservation of consumer rights:
Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any statutory consumer guarantee, right or remedy where doing so would be contrary to applicable law.
Where this policy conflicts with a mandatory legal requirement, that requirement prevails.
