FAQ.
GENERAL
DAKUTX is a modern fashion commerce platform that connects customers to premium brands, designers and specialist makers—combining luxury presentation with operational infrastructure behind the scenes.
DAKUTX is a platform. Depending on the product, your order may be fulfilled by DAKUTX, the brand, or an approved production partner. Your confirmation email will always show the seller/fulfilment pathway.
Orders may ship from Australia or internationally, depending on the brand, product type, and fulfilment partner.
Yes. DAKUTX only partners with verified brands and authorised makers. We do not allow “grey market” sourcing.
Both. Some pieces are ready-to-wear (in-stock), while others are made-to-order or produced on-demand. The product page will clearly state which applies.
We aim for high accuracy. However, minor variations can occur due to lighting, screen settings, fabric batches, and made-to-order production (especially for natural fibres).
Sometimes. If an item is made-to-order or can be reproduced, you may see it return. For limited editions, once it’s gone, it’s gone.
MADE-TO-ORDER & CUSTOM
our item is produced after you place your order. This allows premium make, better allocation, and access to broader styles/variants.
Lead times vary by product and workload. The estimated production and delivery window is shown in our Shipping Policy.
Made-to-order and customised pieces are usually final sale, except where required by law or if the item is faulty/not as described. This is standard across luxury made-to-order categories.
Only before production begins. Once production starts, changes may not be possible.
Contact support immediately. Depending on the product category and seller policy, we may offer alteration guidance, a paid remake option, or a goodwill resolution where commercially reasonable.
ETHICAL SOURCING, ESG & SMART MANUFACTURING
DAKUTX’s infrastructure is designed to align with modern ESG frameworks by:
- Reducing waste through demand-led production
- Minimising unsold inventory and markdown cycles
- Supporting traceable production relationships
- Encouraging longer-life garments through quality make and fit
Sustainability at DAKUTX is not treated as a marketing label, but as a systems-level operational choice.
Production locations vary by brand, product category, and delivery model. Items may be produced in Australia or internationally by approved partners operating in professional, regulated factory or atelier environments.
Each product page will clearly indicate whether an item is in-stock or produced on a made-to-order or on-demand basis.
Smart manufacturing refers to the integration of digital workflows, body data, production automation, and demand-driven manufacturing.
Rather than producing excess inventory, DAKUTX supports:
- Made-to-order and on-demand production
- Digital pattern development and 3D workflows
- Data-driven sizing and production planning
- Reduced sampling and waste through virtual processes
This approach increases precision, improves fit consistency, and significantly reduces unnecessary overproduction.
Made-to-order production:
- Eliminates excess stock
- Reduces fabric waste
- Limits unnecessary transport and storage
- Encourages intentional purchasing
This model aligns closely with next-generation luxury and enterprise ESG expectations.
DAKUTX does not position itself as a trend-driven sustainability platform. Instead, it focuses on responsible luxury, operational efficiency, and long-term product value.
Our philosophy is that better systems create better outcomes commercially, ethically, and environmentally.
Material sourcing is managed by each brand or production partner, but DAKUTX prioritises working with partners that use:
- Certified or traceable fabrics where available.
- Responsible mills and suppliers
- Materials appropriate for longevity and performance.
Material specifics, where relevant, are disclosed on product pages.
DAKUTX partners exclusively with verified manufacturers, ateliers, and production partners that operate under lawful, ethical, and transparent working conditions. All partners are required to comply with local labour laws, workplace safety standards, and responsible employment practices.
We do not support exploitative labour, unauthorised subcontracting, or opaque production chains.
DAKUTX is a platform, not a single manufacturer. ESG responsibility is shared across brands, makers, and production partners.
Rather than publishing superficial metrics, DAKUTX focuses on building infrastructure that enables better ESG outcomes across the ecosystem.
Traditional fashion relies on:
- Forecast-led overproduction
- High markdown waste
- Complex and opaque subcontracting
DAKUTX supports:
- Demand-driven production
- Digital transparency
- Cleaner operational handoffs
- Better alignment between customer demand and manufacturing output
This is fashion infrastructure designed for the next decade, not the last.
When you purchase through DAKUTX, you are supporting:
- Professional, ethical production environments
- Smarter manufacturing systems
- Reduced waste and overproduction
- Long-term value over disposable fashion
Luxury today is not just how something looks it’s how responsibly it is made and delivered.
